Like many, I first heard this Edwyn Collins gem while watching Empire Records. Enjoy!

New Order - Regret
New Order is certainly among my top 10 favorite bands ever. Here's one of my top 3 favorite New Order songs (FYI, it was my No. 1 song of 1993 on my old college radio show). Enjoy!

Gravity Kills - Guilty
I almost forgot about Gravity Kills. They were a pretty decent industrial rock act from St. Louis (I actually just learned that they have reunited over the last couple of years). Always thought that they were kind of reminiscent of early Nine Inch Nails, which is not exactly a bad thing. Here's their first hit. Enjoy!

Strife - Through and Through
Another Monday here at Your Forgotten Favorite. As always, we kick off the week with some heavy music, and it doesn't get much heavier than Strife. Here's a hardcore classic by one of California's finest, and one of the three bands on my favorite live hardcore album (The California Takeover). Enjoy!

Crystal Method - Comin' Back
It's Friday Funday...The YFF DJ is spinning some Crystal Method...the beats are pumpin' so get on the dance floor and shake it. Enjoy!

The Beautiful South - A Little Time
I am ALWAYS in the mood to listen to The Beautiful South. Over the last few years I've simply devoured their entire catalog. Here's one of my favorite tracks. Enjoy!

Faith No More - Midlife Crisis
After the awesomeness of Faith No More's Epic album, it took me a bit to get into their follow-up Angel Dust. I missed the more in your face aspects of Epic, but grew to like Angel Dust's subtleties. As usual, here's the album's lead single. Enjoy!

Primus - Tommy the Cat
OK, I'll be the first to admit that I was never a big Primus fan, but I have to say Sailing the Seas of Cheese had a couple gems that I always dug. Here's one of them. Enjoy!

Warzone - The Sound of Revolution
How about a little NYC Hardcore to kick off another week here at Your Forgotten Favorite? Done. Here's a track off of Warzone's The Sound of Revolution record. Enjoy!

R.E.M. - Daysleeper
R.E.M. has long been one of my favorite bands. I was thrilled to FINALLY see them in concert when they toured for Accelerate and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Anyway, there's a lot of typical 90s songs by them I could have chosen, but I decided to go with this understated classic off of their Up album. Enjoy!

Transvision Vamp - If Looks Could Kill
I still have no idea why Transvision Vamp didn't get insanely HUGE. Drop dead gorgeous singer (who could really wail), catchy hooks and fun lyrics. Oh well. We'll always have Velveteen and Little Magnets Versus the Bubble of Babble (my personal favorite). Enjoy!

Lamb - Softly
I was really hoping to find a video off of Lamb's first album which is a fine mix of trip hop, drum and bass, and jazz. But, I couldn't. Never fear, this track off of their second album is pretty rad too. Enjoy!

Green Day - Basket Case
Green Day has been one of my favorite bands since pretty much the first time I heard them. I still often listen to Dookie...and well...their entire catalog. So go back with me and watch the video that started it all for most of us. Enjoy!

Wool - Medication
I had almost forgot how rad Wool was (let alone who was in the band...go click on that happy blue link thingy to find out). Anyway I stumbled upon this video from their debut record this morning. Enjoy!

Depeche Mode - Useless
Depeche Mode has long been a favorite of mine (even if I still have never seen them live). I kind of lost interest in them though after Songs of Faith and Devotion came out and it wasn't until Playing the Angel came out in 2005 that I caught up with an almost decade long gap. I'm glad I did. Here's a track off of their Ultra cd. Enjoy!

American Music Club - Rise
I've been a big fan of San Francisco's American Music Club for some time now (this also includes the many fine solo albums by singer Mark Eitzel). Here's a classic track off of their Everclear cd. Enjoy!

Peter Murphy - Sweetest Drop
Apparently, Peter Murphy has once again climbed out of his coffin to offer up the world some more music (new record out tomorrow). Seems like a perfect time to post a video off of one of my favorite records by him (Holy Smoke). Enjoy!

Fatboy Slim - The Rockafeller Skank
It's once again Friday Funday!!! So get those bodies on the dance floor and shake it to Fatboy Slim. Enjoy!

The Cavedogs - Leave Me Alone
I think this video by The Cavedogs may have the raddest special effects of the nearly 300 videos I've posted so far. Enjoy!

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Suck My Kiss
The heatwave continues, so I think I'll keep the "hot" thing going with the legendary Red Hot Chili Peppers. I saw them twice on their tour for Blood Sugar Sex Magik (and again on the Californication tour). Still one of the best live bands going. Here's a Blood Sugar classic (lyrics NSFW). Enjoy!
