Katie Armiger - Playin' With Fire

It really is just a matter of time before Katie Armiger hits it big on the country music charts. She's a talented 21-year-old from Sugar Land, TX who just this year released her fourth album Fall Into Me (which I regrettably still haven't picked up yet...same old story, so much music, so little funds). I have heard a few songs off of it though and I'm definitely digging it. Check out the video for new record's second single Playin' With Fire.

Sara Watkins - You and Me

Sara Watkins keeps popping up on me lately so I figured it was time to finally post a video from her fantastic second album Sun Midnight Sun. I caught today's video over the weekend on CMT Pure. I think. It might have been GAC (I tend to flip back and forth depending on what's playing). Then, just last night, I was hanging some framed Opry posters I picked up in Nashville a few weeks ago. I noticed that the wall was starting to look kind of bare (even with the new additions) so I started adding a couple more signed/framed 8x10s and posters from another overcrowded wall. One of the posters I moved (naturally) was my signed Sara Watkins Sun Midnight Sun poster which I got from her website when I ordered the cd. Regardless of how we got here, we got here. So just sit back and enjoy this wonderful song/video and her super sweet voice.

Dillinger Escape Plan - When I Lost My Bet

There's a new Dillinger Escape Plan album out today. I'm pretty sure that at some point I'll pick up One Of Us Is The Killer...that is, after I stop quivering in the fetal position underneath my pool table from watching this insanely creepy video.

Taylor Swift Red Tour from Washington, DC

Last night my wife and I had the pleasure to witness Taylor Swift's Red Tour in Washington, DC. It was an amazing experience. Half concert, half theater. She held the crowd (of all ages) in the palm of her hands for the entire hour and 45 minute set. The following photos were taken by my wife (she said I could post 'em). Hard to believe that with the exception of the acoustic photos, we were at the opposite end of the arena. Not bad for a point and shoot.

Steve Earle & The Dukes (& Duchesses) - Invisible

Here's the first video off of Steve Earle & The Dukes (& Duchesses) latest album The Low Highway. I haven't had a chance to pick it up yet, but rest assured I will. I'm still kind of kicking myself for not seeing him again when he came through town recently. Oh well. I caught him on his last tour (a tremendous performance filled with great songs and storytelling).

Archers of Loaf - Harnessed in Slums

It's time for another Friday Flashback. The Archers of Loaf were one of my favorite bands of the 90s. I was lucky enough to see them a handful of times back in the day...and they were always killer. Sadly, I didn't get to see any of their recent reunion shows in person (I did see a show online and they obviously can still go). Now how about a new album?
