I love the Poster Children. I've been a fan since the first time I saw the video for If You See Kay on 120 Minutes (sadly, I couldn't find it on Youtube). This is a mellower tune off of what I think to be their finest album Junior Citizen. Enjoy!

Two-for-Tuesday with Babes in Toyland
This week's Two-for-Tuesday features one of the most ferocious bands of the 90s -- Babes in Toyland. Enjoy!

Ultra Vivid Scene - Staring At The Sun
Another one of those Forgotten Favorites that I recently reacquainted myself with by upgrading from tape to cd. Ultra Vivid Scene was a grossly underrated band. This tune aged particularly well. Enjoy!

Material Issue - Valerie Loves Me
Material Issue's first album International Pop Overthrow is one of the finest examples of power pop awesomeness. Enjoy!

Levellers - One Way
Talk about a Forgotten Favorite. Haven't thought of this Levellers song in a LONG time. Not quite sure why it popped into my head either. Enjoy!

Bad Religion - American Jesus
Bad Religion is a punk rock institution -- 30 years and still going strong. Go to their website and join their mailing list because they are going to be sending out a link to a free live concert download later this year. Enjoy!

Two for Tuesday with Mary's Danish
It's Two-for-Tuesday once again at Your Forgotten Favorite. Here's two great videos by Mary's Danish. Still love how good this band sounds (particularly the harmonies). I recently upgraded my tape versions of their entire catalog to cds (yeah, I still have my tapes...and yes I still buy cds, c'mon I have a blog about 80s and 90s alternative). First up is Don't Crash the Car Tonight, followed by Julie's Blanket. Enjoy!

Pop Will Eat Itself - Can U Dig It?
Some songs and bands age really well. I'm starting to think that Pop Will Eat Itself is not one of those bands. But regardless, it was pretty cool back in the day and I have to admit I'm re-digging it. Enjoy!

Chapterhouse - Falling Down
How about some shoegazing with Chapterhouse? I've always dug this tune and the killer guitar riffs. Enjoy!

Sisters of Mercy - Doctor Jeep
Feeling a bit goth metal today, so here's The Sisters of Mercy. Not the best song off Vision Thing, but it'll do. Enjoy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day...Spend it with the Pogues
Two-for-Tuesday with James
It's Two-For-Tuesday time and I can't think of a better band to kick off this feature with than James. So let's fire up some of their fine Brit pop goodness, first with an old Forgotten Favorite off of their Laid album and then a recent live performance of the lead track from their 2008 comeback album Hey Ma. (Performance from Later with Jools Holland). Enjoy!

Sugar - Helpless
Try to imagine a world without Bob Mould's music. Pretty Depressing thought isn't it? Here's the lead single from Sugar's debut album. Enjoy!

Happy Mondays - Kinky Afro
There was never enough drugs in the world for this Madchester band. The original 24 Hour Party People: The Happy Mondays Enjoy!

CIV - Can't Wait One Minute More
Almost 15 years later, this video by CIV still cracks me up. I love how they worked in Lou from Sick of it All's part into the talk show format of the video. Enjoy!

Afghan Whigs - Gentlemen
On many occasions I've made the argument that The Afghan Whigs were my favorite band of the 90s...and that Gentlemen was the best album of the decade. Almost 17 years since its release and I never tire of the pulsating music and Greg Dulli's acerbic lyrics and vocal howls. Enjoy!
