Toad the Wet Sprocket - Fall Down and All I Want

Superchunk - Driveway to Driveway and Hyper Enough

Superchunk is one of five bands I rotate as my favorite band ever (more times than not, I will answer Superchunk when asked that question). I've been on the Tanya Donelly bandwagon forever. From the Throwing Muses, to her stint with the Breeders, to the hitmaking years with her band Belly and most recently as a solo artist. I can't get enough of of that sweet voice. Here's the big hit song. Enjoy!

Helmet - Unsung and Biscuits for Smut

Save Ferris - Come on Eileen

Sometimes I think the world would be a happier place if there were more 90s style ska music. I always enjoyed seeing Save Ferris live. Whether it be a small club or a huge festival the band, along with Monique's infectious vocals, always got the crowd moving. Here's their cover of that Dexy's Midnight Runners song. Enjoy!

The Wonder Stuff - Size of a Cow

I can't imagine anyone hating The Wonder Stuff. Their Never Loved Elvis album is one of my favorites of the era. Truly great pop music. Enjoy!

Semisonic - Singing in My Sleep

While Semisonic is mostly known for their big hit Closing Time, they were more than that one song (which incidentally was about singer Dan Wilson becoming a new dad, and not a bar). Wilson is master at crafting perfect pop songs and here's one of my favorites. Enjoy!

PJ Harvey - Sheela Na Gig

PJ Harvey's Dry album was a serious kick in the pants when it was released. While much of the rage dissipated in her later albums, the passion remains. Here's the song that first kicked my butt. Enjoy!

Madder Rose - Panic On

Madder Rose was such a cool band. I often pop on one of their discs and get lost in the music and Mary Lorson's stunning vocals. Enjoy!

Soul Asylum - Somebody to Shove

I never stopped loving Soul Asylum (believe it or not, I never even got sick of Black Gold and Runaway Train when they dominated the airwaves). I think I've gone through about 3 versions of Grave Dancer's Union on tape and 2 versions on CD (high praise). One of the best rock bands of the late 80s and 90s.
