Sunday in the Country is just a handful of days away. FINALLY. The annual concert hosted by Baltimore's WPOC is a fun way to spend an autumn day here in Maryland. This year's show kicks off with two hot newcomers: The Henningsens and Maryland's own Maggie Rose. Then it's time for four artists who have dominated the charts this year: Randy Houser, Brantley Gilbert, Florida Georgia Line and headliner Gary Allan. Simply put, 2013's Sunday in the Country will be 1,000 times better than watching my beloved Bills get destroyed by the Ravens.
Today, let's take a look at The Henningsens and Maggie Rose.
The Henningsens are a family act out of Illinois whose fantastic debut single American Beautiful made quite a splash on the country charts. I really enjoyed their self-titled EP and look forward to seeing them live. Check out the video for American Beautiful.
I'm a big fan of the soulful and sassy Maggie Rose. Her first single I'm Not Your Mama was one of my favorite songs last year and the video for her latest single Better has been getting a ton of airplay on CMT. Personally, I'm just psyched to finally get a chance to see her perform after a couple of missed opportunities in the last year. Here's the video for heartbreaking beautiful Better.
