I've been waiting for the right moment to post this video. I used to really dig the Tindersticks. Just great late night or rainy day music. Today's song is easily my favorite track by them. I think I may spend part of this gloomy day reacquainting myself with their catalog. Enjoy!

For Love Not Lisa - Slip Slide Melting
I have no idea why For Love Not Lisa popped into my head this morning. But they did. So, here's the video they did for their song on The Crow Soundtrack. Enjoy!

Pennywise - Alien
I guess Pennywise came into my musical world in 1995 with the release of their classic album About Time. Fast forward a few years and I finally got to see a blistering set by them at my first Warped Tour (it was either 97 or 98). Since then, they have continued to put out quality melodic hardcore. Got to see them again at last year's Warped Tour with their new singer Zoli Téglás (of Ignite) and the fire was still there. Here's a track off of their Straight Ahead album. Enjoy!

7 Year Bitch - Hip Like Junk
I first heard 7 Year Bitch on the Kill Rock Stars comp and was hooked. Come to think of it there were quite a few bands that I got turned onto from that comp (Heavens to Betsy, Bratmobile, Unwound, Bikini Kill, Fitz of Depression, Nation of Ulysses...). Anyway, here's a track off the Viva Zapata cd. Enjoy!

Daisy Chainsaw - Love Your Money
I don't have much to say about Daisy Chainsaw as I didn't really know them all that well beyond their butt-shakingly awesome Love Sick Pleasure ep. Here's the ep's classic track (although, I should mention, All The Kids Agree is a pretty kicking tune as well). Enjoy!

NOFX - Bob
I never get sick of listening to NOFX. Easily one of my favorite bands since I heard their legendary Punk in Drublic album. Here's a classic track off of their White Trash Two Heebs & A Bean cd. Enjoy!

Sinead O'Connor & Shane MacGowan - Haunted
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Have fun, stay safe and dig the cool Irish music! Enjoy!

Skinny Puppy - Spasmolytic
I started getting back into Skinny Puppy a few years ago and Too Dark Park was one of the first cds I re-acquired/upgraded from tape. I've since picked up a few more pre- and post-TDP. Not exactly, music to chill to, but in the right frame of mind some classic industrial always does the trick for me. Here's a video from 1990's TDP. Enjoy!

The The - Slow Emotion Replay
I didn't really get into The The until I heard their Lust album. Our local non-commercial radio station used to play Dogs of Lust all the time and I got hooked. Still one of my favorite records of the 90s (I've since picked up their early and later albums and really dig them as well). Anyway, here's the only video off Lust that's embeddable (sound is a little rough, but not as bad as some other stuff I've posted...I would suggest checking out the videos for Dogs of Lust and Love is Stronger than Death as well). Enjoy!

Agnostic Front - Gotta Go
Yeah, it's Monday. That means it's hardcore day here at Your Forgotten Favorite and it doesn't really get more hardcore than Agnostic Front. Here's a track off of their return album Something's Gotta Give. Enjoi!

Oasis - Don't Look Back in Anger
I foolishly blew off Oasis when their first album came out and not because of everyone's No. 1 reason: "they are a dumb Beatles rip-off." To be honest, that never bothered me (and still doesn't). I suppose, I just wasn't into it. BUT, when (What's the Story) Morning Glory? came out, my opinion completely changed and I've been a fan ever since. While Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall are the big hits, I was always partial to She's Electric and today's song (my favorite). Enjoy!

The Mission - Butterfly on a Wheel
It's a bright and sunny start to March, so of course I've had gloomy gothy Mission songs stuck in my head all day. Here's one of their classics. Enjoy!
