Sunny Day Real Estate - In Circles

I can't believe I didn't post this Sunny Day Real Estate video on my old 90s alternative video blog Your Forgotten Favorite. In Circles, off Sunny Day's amazing debut album Diary, was one of my favorite songs of the era. But that's what Friday Flashbacks here at Your New Favorite Song are all about. So let's relive the magic that was Sunny Day Real Estate by clicking on that video down below.

Blackberry Smoke - Pretty Little Lie

This Blackberry Smoke video has been out for a few months now, so yeah, I'm a little late posting it. Better late than never. Right? Anyway, this Atlanta, GA country/southern rock band is signed to Zac Brown's label Southern Ground (are there any country/southern rock bands from Atlanta not signed to Zac's label?). If you like this song, I'd strongly suggest picking up their 2012 album The Whippoorwill. You won't be disappointed.

Cassadee Pope - Wasting All These Tears

Here's the debut video for Cassadee Pope's first single Wasting All These Tears. After hearing this heartbreaker, I'm fairly certain that this Season 3 Champion on The Voice will have a pretty solid future on country radio.

Kylesa - Unspoken

Savannah's Kylesa are a killer mix of sludge metal, crust punk, hardcore and stoner rock. But what I like most about them is that they are freaking heavy as hell and still retain a certain tunefulness (melody is a good thing). Here's the first video from their new album Ultraviolet which I really need to get as soon as possible.

Jana Kramer - I Hope It Rains

Ahhhh Jana Kramer. Her self-titled debut was one of my favorite records last year. And while I adored the future Mrs. Brantley Gilbert's first two singles (Why Ya Wanna and Whiskey) her latest has always been my favorite song on the album. So here's the sassy new video (released yesterday). Love the ending.

Court Yard Hounds - Sunshine

The Court Yard Hounds debut album was in my top 5 of 2010. I just adored their brand of breezy folk country...and those harmonies. WOW! The record was the soundtrack to my summer. Well Martie Maguire and Emily Robison return tomorrow with Amelita and I cannot wait to hear more music from the sisters. Here's an acoustic version of Amelita's first track.

Hmmmm, new music this year from Court Yard Hounds and Natalie Maines (Mother was released in May). I wonder what it would sound like if these Chicks got together...

Julie Roberts - Men and Mascara

I'm all sorts of excited to see Julie Roberts this Saturday at the Ram's Head in Annapolis. This will be the second time seeing her (I think I'm even sitting at the same front row table). I'm really looking forward to hearing the songs she's working on for her new album on Sun Records (You can find out about the record and her Pledge Campaign right here). Since I previously posted the videos for Break Down Here and Whiskey and You, today we'll go with another favorite of mine, the title track off her second album Men and Mascara.

Smith Westerns - Idol

I see Chicago indie glam rockers Smith Westerns have a new record out. I still haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but I will, as I really dug their previous album Dye It Blonde. I can only assume that Soft Will will be full of some more catchy reverb-drenched goodness. Idol, the album's second single certainly brings it. See and hear for yourself.

Laura Bell Bundy - Two Step (featuring Colt Ford)

I really liked Laura Bell Bundy's Achin' and Shakin' album when it came out a couple years ago (especially the Dolly-esque "Giddy On Up" which still ends up on every road trip/BBQ playlist I make). Needless to say I was delighted to see that the Broadway singer/actress is back at it with a sassy new single featuring country rapper Colt Ford. Now when does that new album come out?

Kellie Pickler - Someone Somewhere Tonight

I could once again go on and on about how much I adore Kellie Pickler, but it appears I already have done so -- often. Like this Your New Favorite Song post about Red High Heels and again at Wicked Guilty Pleasures during Idol Week (oops). There was also this Wicked Guilty Pleasures post about the Best Days of Your Life. And of course she was my 2012 Artist of the Year here at Your New Favorite Song. So yeah, I think she's OK.

Apparently, Kellie's also quite the dancer too as she won last season's Dancing With The Stars with Derek Hough. Watch them relive their magic in the video for her smokin' new song Someone Somewhere Tonight. Now when's that new album coming out?
